Hi I am Colleen!

Hello scrappy friends!  My name is Colleen Gorman Chambers and I am so happy to be here, still! I have been with Scraphappy, in some capacity or another, since 2009.  Whether its working in the store, being on the Design Team or taking care of Christy's son Carter (for a year!), I love it all...Christy & her two kiddies are like family!

I have always been artsy-craftsy, but have only  been scrapbooking for about five years.  I would describe my style as all over the place...I am definately drawn to bright colors with edgy designs.  Its pretty rare that I use anything muted....I do love Tim Holtz though!  Some of my favorite current designers are Lawn Fawn stamps, Echo Park, Maya Road and Crate Paper, just to name a few.  I am obsessed with banners right now!  Banner love is a flowin'!

I am so so blessed with two children;  My daughter  Madeline Grace will be 16 next month,  and she is a sophomore at Tate High School.  My son Dillon just turned 10 in July.  He attends Beulah Elementary School & is in fifth grade.  Between school, sports & social lives, they keep me very busy! I am originally from New York. I come from a big, loud, fun, Yankee family, and I am the youngest of six children. My parents are my rock!  We are all really close.  Maddy & Dillon have lots of cousins to grow up with!

I look forward to sharing more of my creations with you in the near future!  I do have a blog that I have just recently started.  Click here to follow me!

Bye for now!
Colleen

Hi, I'm NIkki

Hi There! I’m Nikki Murphy and I am addicted to paper crafting! Like Jayne, my husband is also my biggest fan. He’s also my financial backing, so I do my best to keep him happy! I’ve been married almost 30 years, February 12th is the big day! I have an awesome son, Nicholas who is married to a beautiful woman, Jamie, who is also super creative! Jamie has her own Flower business in San Antonio, Texas! And the main star in my life is my incredibly awesome Grandson, Daykin Nicolas Murphy! My son is a military man (just like his father was) HOOAH, Go Army! They are stationed in Texas for now. I have a Sister in Chesapeake, Virginia and a Sister in Palm Coast, Florida. Both of my sisters are very talented Crafters! So needless to say, I spend a lot of time on the road! I have a very strong belief in God and am so thankful that HE desires people like me in His Kingdom. By “people like me” I mean, just a regular woman trying to live out my faith the best I can. Sometimes I do a good job and other times I mess it up, but I keep pressing on toward the goal. My goal is to be able to hear the words “well done MY good and faithful servant” when my days on earth are over.

Now back to my paper crafting….I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and have been for about 11 years! So is my sister J BUT….I love all kinds of products, papers and embellishments. My favorite is “My Minds Eye”. And don’t hang me, but I am not a big fan of Tim Holtz. Not into altered art too much. I prefer clean and simple more. My favorite things to make are handmade gifts to give to others! I believe nothing says “you matter to me” more than “homemade”. I am super excited about being on Scraphappy’s design team and hope you will enjoy the projects we come up with.

BLESS SOMEONE'S LIFE WITH YOUR CREATIVITY!

See ya at Scrap Pink!

Nikki

Meet the New ScrapHappy Pensacola Design Team

Hello I'm Jayne and I'm the new Design Team Coordinator for Scraphappy Pensacola! We're excited about our new team. You'll see posts from everyone over the next couple of weeks introducing themselves, beginning with me. First, I want to welcome all of the girls and let you know who they are! They are from all over the Florida Panhandle, L.A. (lower Alabama)and even OHIO! Please welcome our Florida girls, Christina Hay, Linda Price, Vicki Kanis, Colleen Chambers, and Nikki Murphy! Our Alabama girls are Cori Peck and Ashley Horton and from way up north, in Ohio is Tammy Johnson. We're excited to have all these creative women as a part of Scraphappy Pensacola!

As I said, I'm Jayne, and since I'm kicking off these introductions, let me tell you a bit about myself. I've been married to the best man in the world for almost 25 years (October makes 25). He has been my biggest supporter in all of the things I do.

Our oldest, Daniel, whose wedding to Felicia is pictured in the next layout. They had a romantic beach wedding! Felicia is a very talented scrapper in her own right!

Kevin is our middle son. He's a student at FSU and hopes to someday teach and coach. He is now engaged to Erica, an elementary school teacher and we're planning a wedding Sept 2012. I caught them kissing on the pier during a recent visit with them.

Last but not least is Patrick. He's done a great job all of his life keeping up with his brothers and their shenanigans, but recently surpassed them in the contest to make me an Omi! (grandma) Patrick and Amber blessed us with Amalia Rose in June, the day after her daddy's birthday. You know she will be the subject of many layouts after all these years of scrapping boys!

and just because she's the grandbaby, here's another page

So that's my family, here's a bit more about me. I'm a eclectic scrapper, I love incorporating all kinds of things in my layouts. I love heritage pages and have been blessed with many old family photos to play with. My favorite scrappers are Tammy Tutterow, Stephanie Howell, and Tim Holtz, to name a few. I prefer the Silhouette over the Cricut, I love red rubber stamps over acrylic, and vintage over whimsy.
I love, love, love old things, real wood furniture, Who Wants to be A Millionaire, Green Bay Packer Football, genealogy and travel. My friends joke that I am the most on the go person they know. I'm also a Brave Girl and am excited to return to Brave Girl Camp in October as staff. Melody Ross and her crew have done a phenomenal job changing lives through art.
I think that's enough about me. If I've forgotten anything, just ask!
Come back in a few days to meet Nikki Murphy!

"Quinn-tessential" Alphabet stamps...from Lawn Fawn!

Hey Scraphappy Peeps!! Today I am sharing with you one of our new sets of acrylic stamps from Lawn Fawn, Quinns Alphabet! Letters A-Z, all caps, plus an exclamation point! Each letter is just at, or under, an inch, and is very versatile! On my layout "Potty Time", I stamped each letter then cut them out. With the "School Time" tag, I did something a little different but SO easy...I inked up the entire set (still attached to the plastic sheet it comes on) with Embossing Ink, and I lightly pressed my patterned paper onto the inked stamps. After some gentle pressure, I pulled the paper off the stamps. Next, I used clear embossing powder, heat set, then die cut after it was cooled. I love the way it looks, and it is such an easy way to make a quick background!

"Page Kit Contest" Winners!

Hello Ladies!!
As you may know, we once again had our "Page Kit Contest".
Page kits are $5; they include two 12x12 pieces of paper and lots of fun embellies!
When entering the contest, you can create 3 mini projects (cards, tags, books, etc.), a 1pg layout, or a 2pg layout. You don't have to use everything in the kit, and you are able to add whatever you'd like from your own stash! Pretty easy right??

We asked a group of ladies that come in monthly to vote on the entries. None of them knew whose belonged to who!

First place goes to Rita Zengotita! She made a mini book and 2 cards! She will be receiving a $25 gift certificate to Scraphappy!

Runner-up and winner of our $15 gift certificate goes to Bibi Barberi! She made a 1pg layout!

Congrats Ladies!!

Also, THANK YOU to all of you who participated! We love seeing all of the beautiful creations that you make!
