Simple Stories Summer Fresh in the store!

I'm so excited about Simple Stories new line "Summer Fresh".  Many of their lines have become my favorites as soon as they were released, but this one is my favorite.  It brings to mind the simple life of summer filled with picnics, bike rides, pool time and family.  I've loved coming up with many new ideas using Summer Fresh papers!
One thing I've wanted to try is the "sunburst" cards that are popular now.  Oh how pretty Summer Fresh looks!  Bursting with color and flowers, it will be sure to brighten someone's birthday!
This little pocket full of posies will remind a special friend that you are thinking just of them.
Another card I made with the sunburst technique features a window sticker from the Summer Fresh line through which you can see many of the beautiful papers featured in the store.

This card using Summer Fresh reminds us all that summer is the time to slow down and enjoy the simple things, like a trip to the new Scraphappy location!  I love the new store, it's so cozy and welcoming.

I couldn't resist making my granddaughter her own special album to remember this summer with.  Like all of the Simple Stories lines, Summer Fresh lends itself to easy documentation of your everyday life and special occasions you want to remember.

One of my favorite pages in the book, Amalia in the pool with her daddy!  She loves water!

Of course I don't have just one favorite page, this one captures Amalia's adventurous spirit of exploring everything.  I made the blue background paper using Tim Holtz's Coredinations Cardstock.  I ran it through an embossing folder, and then sanded it to bring out the craft core detail.  If you'd like to see a tutorial on this technique, leave me a comment below, and I'll do a post on how to do this yourself!

I also enjoyed making this insulated cup to enjoy my favorite summer beverage in.   No doubt whose cup it is, because I used the alphabet sheet that had several alphas on it.  Also no doubt what my favorite scrapbook paper line is for Summer,  Simple Stories Summer Fresh!

Don't forget, You Can Never Have Too Much Happy!  ScrapHappy that is!  Get in to the store soon to get your Simple Stories Summer Fresh Paper and document your summer memories!
